Space Coast Dragon Boat Camp 2025

Presented by Alkame USA (Scott Murray & Katy Dunlop)

For the past 21 years Florida camp has been a rite of passage of many at the end of winter.

Camp features a traditional progression of water training and dryland program support to start the paddling season off with a solid base of early season preparation, in a unique community setting.  Twice-a-day training includes interval structure at varied exertion levels, a full technical review (individual and team) and general best program practices that complement your at-home instruction.  The week builds to a 2000m time trial “competitive effort” at the end of the week.  Education in many forms (yoga, stretching, talks, video review, mental preparation) is a big part of the week, as body and mind are both part of the training experience.

In 2025, Alkame USA is excited to announce the return to Indian Harbour Beach, paired with some new pieces and improved experiences, including the Mentorship Program. The Mentorship Program is designed for dragon boat coaches who want to take a step up in their development, under the guidance of SCDBC Coaches & Camp Director, Scott Murray.
